Sand Addiction the Movie is a new film from the creators of Sand Addiction Magazine-Platinum Global Productions. This group is all about the new-school duner. You'll never see a mediocre sandcar, bike, or quad in their magazines; so don't expect anything less in this film. It's all about the long travel, big powered, "blinged" out cars, quads, and lifestyle. If this is your thing, then you're going to love this film.

This past weekend I had a hard time trying to decide what to do, desert racing or playing in the sand? Then I thought to myself, who said you can't do both? No one can better testify to this than Ryan Lewis from Bonzen Productions who does just that. He has recently released a new desert film that incorporates both racing and duning. Revalved is the third desert film released by Bonzen Productions, an entrepreneurial group with grassroots at their heart.

I've been to some wild places where the crowds were big and crazy on Halloween weekend. In fact, my wife Beth and I were out in Las Vegas last year for Halloween. Talk about a freak show, there was everything from Naughty Cops to Papa Smurf. We even ran into Paris Hilton who was dressed up as some type of Poison Ivy Goddess. Although we didn't run into Paris Hilton at the sand dunes, we might as well have. There was so much going on that it was difficult to keep track. The crowds in Vegas were big, but they don't compare to what we experienced at Glamis.

Every year there is a show that marks the beginning of desert season for many off-roaders. This show is the Sand Sports Super Show. The show is now on its 7th year of continued growth and success. This year they had seven halls and an outdoor display area, which totaled 500 million sq.ft. of the baddest sand toys in the world. Here is a new sand film from newcomer Dune Addiction Productions. Their first sand film called Give it Gas is a compilation of footage taken on major holiday weekends at both Glamis and Gordons in California. There are plenty of sand rails in this movie, over 100 to be exact. There are also plenty of quads, dirtbikes, and the occasional lifted truck or Jeep cruising down the sand. The majority of the film shows the notorious Sand Drags, famous for being the center stage where the big boys come out and show-off their toys. Here people hit the pedal to the metal, not for money, but simply for bragging rights.

HRT Motorsports, one of the best-kept secrets, until now. I found them thanks to my friends at Off Road Warehouse (ORW) and was able to convince Todd Arthur from HRT Motorsports to invite me up to his shop so that I could show our readers at Off-Road.com what they are all about.

The guys from Alticity have come out with a new sand film called Saint Anthony, The Sand Crusades. These guys are new to the sand, but come with plenty of experience in extreme snowmobile films. They have been able to transfer their style and techniques from the snow to the sand very effectively. You might ask yourself, “What are these snowmobile guys doing in the sand”? Well, when the snow melts in Idaho, these boys go duning.
