You can call a spade a spade and a queen of diamonds a cutie, but judging how fast a sand car can be is a spectator sport with no real sense of standards. Yes, there's usually a rev limiter and only so far you can kick the throttle, but one that a sand rocket lacks is just how fast it can catapult to such measures as the top of Glamis' Competition Hill.
