Even after welding my previous aftermarket nerf bars on to my frame I found that they simply were not strong enough to handle the abuse they were given on the trails that I take my truck through. I knew that something thicker and stronger was in order. I personally did not want my nerf bars to be welded to the frame so I set out to find something that was a direct bolt on.
