There are no modifications required to the intake, exhaust or wiring systems. You can re-use your stock 1300 manifolds, distributor, flywheel and clutch. You will need to use the 1600 starter and alternator. It is possible to use the 1300 starter with some modification to the engine block.

My name is Roland Hahn and Im into the Samurai thing bad. I currently own five Sammys (yes I know Im insane). Anyway, Ill try and help you out with info if you want it. My friends in Columbus, Ohio have dubbed me a Sammy Guru (god help me). I do a lot of wheelin with one Sammy, plow snow with another one and use one for the street. The other two are basically part trucks but one of them still goes down the street. Ill fill you in later, if you wish, on what mods Ive done to them (just ask Mario Raco from Victory Engineering; Ive made him rich). I have a lot of info I can give you, I just need to type it out.
