One of the problems with making your doors removable is that the stock retaining straps need to be unscrewed each time.

You can have a great "bed liner" for way less money than you'd think. While my application was on Project Suzushi, a 1988 Suzuki Samurai convertible, these steps are applicable to any vehicle.

After completing the Toyota axle swap, it was time to move on to the rest of the drive train. The Suzuki aftermarket has grown to the point where Zuk enthusiasts are fortunate enough to have a wide variety of motor, transmission, and transfer case options.

I began planning Project Samyota the day after I sold my last rig
back in August of 2000. I knew selling my Scout was going to be
painful, but I had no idea what it was really going to be like
until I watched my faithful back road companion head off down the
road.

Having completed the lift and suspension, it was time to move on to
the drive train. I had hoped to accomplish several goals with the
drive train upgrades. First off, I wanted things to be strong.

Having made the decision to run a 1600, I decided to go all out and

relied on the use of a 'Kick bell housing putting the motor in
place didn't require most of the usual 1600 adapters.

During the planning process for Project Samyota I made several key
decisions that guided the overall direction of the project. After
having seen the Snipe and Jason's flatbed riding on 36 inch and
larger tires, I knew I wanted to run tires at least 35 inches tall.

I bought my bone stock Samurai new in December of '94. I chose the Sammy because I wanted something unique yet small and light. I wanted something new because this was my first project that was long term, and didn't want to inherit someone else's buildup mistakes or used vehicle problems. I am an engineer who works on new interior parts that will go on GM vehicles and trucks. My current project is some misc. interior parts on the new GM full size P/U due in 1999.
