Bushwacker is well known for their fender flares and I had previous experience with their products. Many years ago I had used the Bushwhacker Cutout style flares on a S-10 project. In this case I did not really need the cut-out style but I did like the Pocket look. Bushwacker has 4 versions of their fender flares with and option for most anybody.

 | Different Approaches to Design August 1, 2006 By:Jesse Katz
When it comes to fabrication, my projects always turn out best when I work out all my ideas before I get started. I don't like to figure things out as I go because, inevitably, something gets overlooked or left out until the last minute. I admire all the fabricators that are able to lay a general idea out in chalk on the shop floor and get to work, but it's just not my style.

He made a good point; while we immerse ourselves in component technology, we often overlook a critical element: how do we make the most of that technology?

Picking up where our last tube bending article left off, let's install a die-set. All JD2's dies are labeled with the diameter and the centerline radius (in this example, we're working with a 1.75" x 5.5" radius die-set). No tools are required to change the dies on the Model 4, so I just set the forming die into position and then dropped the frame pins into place. The center-pin holds the forming die in place and is also the pivot that the pressure-die rotates around. The other frame pin just keeps the forming die from rotating.
