Most 4x4s are crammed with tools, toolboxes, recovery gear, and spares. Add in a family's worth of camping gear, a weekend's worth of food, and there's no space left for the driver, let alone passengers!

The following options in this section represent my best guess at simplifying the differentials assembled in Isuzu light trucks that were sold in America: Trooper, Amigo, Rodeo, and P'up. This extends to other makes that were essentially rebadged Isuzus: the Chevy Luv was a P'up, the Honda Passport was a Rodeo, and the Acura SLX was a Trooper. I don't have data for the foreign trucks (Vauxhall, Holden, etc.) but I imagine much of the info is the same, especially if the truck in question was assembled in Japan.

n recent years, the availability of roof racks has exploded. Safari type racks, sport system racks, and a variety of other versions of this simple idea cropped up.

I hooked up with the Z&M crew (3 vehicles, 5 people) in Placerville, and we headed up to Loon Lake. Running a bit late, we jumped on the trail just before nightfall and motored along. One of the Z&M trucks had a quick problem near the Car Wash, but those guys are well-prepared, and with fluids from the back of one Jeep and tools from the back of another, we were soon on our way. Three rigs carrying one large group sure can pack a lotta gear!

Isuzu doesn't sanction deep water sports, and didn't build the stock truck to resist it without modification. If you dive in much past your doorsills, you may need to reference Drying Your Soaked Manual Transmission.

The decision to go with our V6 was probably a good one. The engine is less prone to the head problems that can plague other Isuzu 4-cylinders.

Well, as this section grows, we'll develop the index below to include links to Isuzu trail ride documents. The Isuzu Webpages will help publicize any trail run which is organized primarily for Isuzus, no matter how many 'honorary Isuzus' (like Jeeps) come along on the trail. Please mail the Isuzu ORC Staff to discuss specifics of getting an event mentioned here.
