I bought my '88½ Samurai 5 years ago. It had 56k miles on it then, now has 130k. Since it's my daily driver, modifications have been slow, but little by little I'm getting there. I have owned many other 4x4's but this Samurai is the best by far.

My Samurai is completely stock, except for the shocks (Rancho 5000). The side striping only exists in 5 specimens. For usual travels, my Samurai is equipped with alloy rims from a Vitara VUARNET (French Special Series). For off-roading, I use 16' fluo pink rims from an MB Jeep. So far, we've only clocked 118 000 Kms, and we expect to do a lot more.

ts apparent now--in the realm of Suzuki-ism--that suspension systems have come a long way from simple 3 lift springs. With the advent of SPOA conversion kits, one can have a very flexible rig without spending a fortune in engineering costs. Since we're all crazy for flex and more ability for our little buggies, that wasnt good enough. Glenn Wakefield pioneered the Missing Link system that debuted at the '98 Top Truck Challenge. With his amazing 42"+ of flex he went into production with the system that put Rocky Road Outfitters, LLC (formerly known as Summit Off-road) in the books. Since then others have developed enhanced versions of his original product idea. We wont get into the $500 versions& they're a Jeep thing, I dont understand.
