Hummer X Club: The "X-Factor"

March 1, 2007

At first glance, you might guess that the X is a wildcard that means that it doesn't matter whether you drive an H1, H2 or H3, and you would be partly right.

The Last Chance to End a Nightmare

Red Rock State Park 4x4 Adventure
February 1, 2007

Nightmare Gulch.  The Creepy Crossover.  Last Chance Canyon.  Even the names of trails in the El Paso Mountains sounded ominous and foreboding when the Southern California chapter of The Hummer X Club first planned a late January run in and around Red Rock State Park.

The CNN Warrior One: A Million Dollar Hummer?!

February 1, 2007

Who in their right mind would pay 1.25 million dollars for a pre-owned 1993 Hummer H1?

Hummer Snow Plow, Part 2

February 1, 2007

Amazingly, the month of January has passed, and we only got about 3 snowfalls with any accumulation, so my snowplow testing has not been as extensive as I had hoped.

Hummer H1 Hood Assist by Rubberduck 4x4

You Need It; You Just Don't Know It Yet.
December 1, 2006

I had heard about the new Hummer H1 Hood Lift from Rubberduck4x4, but even after it had arrived at my garage I had a hard time getting excited about it. Sounding Off from the Passenger Seat
December 1, 2006

I guess you could say that I am an off-roader by marriage. On our first date, my husband included a surprise detour over an 11 foot dirt embankment near the back of the multiplex theatre-and to think I innocently thought we were just going to see a movie

In a world where superheroes are everywhere on TV, in movies and video games, it is easy to forget what a real hero is. I met one.

Half-Shaft Bolts, Don't Back Out Now!

Half-shaft retainers from H123andMore
November 1, 2006

Until recently, the only solution available that ensured these bolts would stay put was a kit offered by Rod Hall Products, consisting of half-shaft bolts with heads that are pre-drilled for safety wire to hold them from twisting out of place. The kit includes everything needed, but it is expensive and requires some skill to install properly. It is a great option for a serious racer, but not ideal for the typical H1 owner.
