We wanted to put bigger tires that are more aggressive on for winter (245/75/16) on our '99 Suzuki Vitara 2 door, so we decided that "Suzi" Needed a lift for Christmas.

I drive a black Samurai (imported from Canada). Its a 1988 and Ive done nothing to it except tires (now they are Goodrich 205/70/15) interior and wheels. The bull and roll-bars were installed before I bought it.

It happens to all of us, sooner or later. There's a sudden increase in oil consumption of an otherwise fine-running engine. A quick check under the car or in the engine compartment shows some oil on the passenger side of the engine, or on the ground on that side. A little further investigation shows oil coming out of the fuel pump vent tube.

How I came to be travelling to Las Vegas on the day after Thanksgiving, 1996, is irrelevant. Suffice to say I was going in order to catch a plane. "What the heck was that popping sound?" exclaimed the driver of the newly lifted and locked Samurai with 31's. Balanced on a series of large boulders, the driver began backing up to try and get a better angle for tackling the obstacle.

If, like most of us, you've removed the factory mounting ends from the bumper tube on your Samurai to clear larger tires (or if you plan to do so), you may want to modify your installation of an ARB Bull Bar Bumper to create a stronger assembly.
