If, like most of us, you've removed the factory mounting ends from the bumper tube on your Samurai to clear larger tires (or if you plan to do so), you may want to modify your installation of an ARB Bull Bar Bumper to create a stronger assembly.

Samurai owners know how tough our little Suzukis are, but as with
any vehicle that gets pushed far beyond its original design's
intent, weak links surface. As we fit larger tires, install
traction adding devices, increase the gear ratios and squeeze more
power out of the engine, our trucks become capable of playing on

 | How to set up a transfer case for 2WD-Low November 1, 2005 By:ORC STAFF
There are two steel rods (a High-Low rod and a 2WD-4WD rod) that control the shifter forks for 2WD-4WD and High-Neutral-Low. Between those two steel rods that control the forks there are three ý" diameter balls and two springs. On one side of the High-Low rod are three indentations that give the click feeling as you shift from 4WD-Neutral to 4WD-Low. On the other side of the High-Low rod is an indentation that prevents this rod from moving until the 2WD-4WD rod is shifted into 4WD. The High-Low rod is the one you feel while on the right side of the shift pattern.

Where can I get a high output alternator for my 87 Samurai? I know I will need it before I can hook up the 6 or so lights I want. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd have to say we're pretty lucky with the Samurai. The frame
rails under the belly are flat with the exception of the passenger
side where the cross-member comes into play.
