In a Hummer H1, or any other off-road vehicle for that matter,
traction is of paramount importance. It doesn't matter how much
horsepower or torque your truck can produce if you can't apply

What a winter we had been having- by the first week of March, many parts of New England had already dealt with over 10 feet of snow for the season. So I didn't hesitate for an instant when the opportunity arose to tag along with my wife Nicole for a short business trip to warm and sunny Scottsdale. Unfortunately, there was no way to get my rig from New Hampshire to Arizona for such a short stay, so I had to find a way to get in my wheeling "fix" without a vehicle - and without bailing out on my wife for the day.

DETROIT - HUMMER today announced the pricing for its new 2005 H2
SUT scheduled to hit dealerships in June. Base level models, which
include a sunroof and rear spare tire carrier standard, start at
$52,845 MSRP (including destination charge), which is approximately
$1,500 less than the 2005 H2 SUV on a comparably equipped basis.
Quickly following the success of the original H2, the SUT marks the
continuation of a growth strategy that includes the introduction of
the H3 next year.
