(5000 to 12000 lbs)
There are a lot of different winches on the market by several companies. In this article, I list most of the products from major winch manufacturers. I have only included winches in the 5,000 to 12,000 pound capacity range, as this is what 99% of what off-road rigs use. Any smaller and you're not even going to pull your Suzuki Samurai out of a good stuck. In future months, I will be adding information about the major features of the different winches to this page including hands on reviews of some of the different winches available today.
