Product: Persson Off-Road Systems Swaybar Disconnects Purchased from: Drew Persson, Persson Off-Road Price: $98 + $5 s&h Instalation: 30 Minutes.
Swaybar
quick disconnects allow you to disconnect your swaybar while
off-road so the front suspension has more travel, but you maintain
the swaybar's benefits on-road when connected. The package includes
stainless steel disconnects, 1/4" retainer pins, bushing lubricant,
and Energy Suspension poly bushings for the end links and the "D"
bushings. Instructions are simple and accurate.
Installation takes less than a
half-hour. Remove the existing swaybar links. I left the swaybar
intact while getting the links out (mine were corroded). Remove the
mount and bushings from the frame, and drop the swaybar. Install
the new endlinks on both the lower control arm and swaybar, and use
the supplied bushing lubricant on the "D" bushings before
reinstalling the bushings and bar to the frame. Seat the
disconnects on the lower half of the endlink, and drop the swaybar
end down into the disconnect. Align the holes and put the pins
in! Pros:
Great quality, retains on-road ride. Off road the front
(especiallyIFS) travels more. Very quick to disconnect and reconnect. Cons: Price.Bottom Line: They're great, and the quality is top-notch. And they work as advertised! Follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/OffRoadDotCom
