Packed tight with a stock 22RE in the engine bay, this 1992 Toyota Pickup has much more to offer the great outdoors and rugged trails of Northern Arizona than the average stocker. It's got the bread basket of trail-tough equipment.
Let's begin from the ground up. Speak of clawing through the Arizona terrain, we begin with the heart and soul of traction, the 32-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrains. They roll straight, true and through the rough, using 15x10 Black Rock Crawler rims as their vehicle of motion. Working our way up, we find oursevles at the standard IFS suspension, proving once again that Toyota are built ready to embard upon the outdoors. Although it boasts your average set of Rancho RS5000s, it gains some additional travel from a set of "ultra low-profile" bump stops. It doesn't end there, though. Say bye-bye to mister sway bar. He took the trash train to the dump. We'll end our suspension rant right there. Now, onto the rest of the story. The three-inch body lift, in addition to the hacked fender wells, are easy and inexpensive modifications that add some serious room for the bad ass BFGs to do their trail work. Got communications? This rig's got it! The CB radio rounds up the other trail Toys and the less fortunate stuck trucks this Toy is in charge of extracting. For tunes, it's got your average brain-smashing sound system -- nothing much to brag about but certainly something to keep your ears drums onto. Finishing up the items this rig has so far accumulated, the Power Tank tops the charts. There's nothing like having the ability to use your air tools and air-up your club's tires on a trail run. Manditory in my book, the Hi-Lift Jack is always a must-have. And this rig has one. Containing all those tools and supplies, the Husky Toolbox stands at the ready in the toy's bed, along with the Gator-net and custom rear bumper. Is that all! Not hardly! Many more mods are on their way!
