I am Miles from Guyana South America, I would like everyone to see my 87 4wd x-cab. This truck started life as a single cab, I modified it using 90 model x-cab windows and front bumper. The engine a 22R HAS A 32/36 WEBER exhaling through a Downey header. The suspension is beefed up using downey torsions and rancho RS 9000 shocks. The rear diff has a Toyota LSD equipped with 4.88 gears and 33x 12.50 BFG all terrains. The front bumper has a Ramsy REP8000 winch. This truck is equipped for the jungle roads of Guyana.
Greg Domenick from Dover, NJ has spent the past 8+ years, first wheeling, then mostly showing his '88 Toyota 4Runner. The truck started out modestly with a 4" IFS lift and 35's and has progressed to it's current form running 44" Boggers with Dynatrac built Dana's and a custom straight axle conversion with crossover steering. The truck runs 12" Superlift springs, front & rear, out of a full-size Chevy. Along with 2" extended shackles, custom spring drop brackets (all gusseted with 3/8" plate steel), a 3" body lift make up some 22 or so inches of total lift. The trussed Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear axles run 5.86 gears with disc brakes all around. Some modest mods to the motor such as the Downey headers, y-pipe and open air filter assembly, keep the big 4Runner reliable. Greg has done almost all of the work himself (obviously with some help and understanding from his wife).
Tobias' 1994 Extra cab PickUp lets him explore the Colorado backcountry and is his daily driver. It sports 4:88 gears with a Detroit in the rear. 31 BFG's on custom rims dampend by Rancho RS5000's. Other mods include a K&N Filtercharger, rear shackle lift, Energy Suspension bushings, and a Smittybuilt bumper with a Ramsey 9000Lb winch. Custom swaybar disconnects are also in the works. Tobias's web site has lots of pictures and a how to section and can be found at:

I added 31x10.50s on American racing rims (outlaws 2s), K&N air filter, midland CB, ARE truck cap, Smitty built grill guard, KC highlight driving lights. With the truck cap, I put in some indoor/outdoor carpat on the floor of the bed. I live in Western West Virginia and take the truck to some strip mines in the region. I also use the truck for hunting and camping purposes. Some of the hunting spots I go, are out old tractors roads or logging roads and often go through a creek to get to. Living in the snow belt, I need the four wheel drive in the winters. Gene Galyean, Huntington West Virginia
