Got a technical problem you need help with? Here's some resources you can check: Check your owner's manual. We get a huge amount of email asking about things covered in the owner's manual. If you've lost yours, you can get one from Toyota; they're inexpensive and invaluable. The factory service manuals are hard to beat. They are relatively expensive, but they are what the dealer uses to fix your truck. Available at your Toyota dealer or at some aftermarket parts houses.

Please DO NOT email staff and article contributors with technical questions about your vehicle. We appreciate feedback on the website in general and on articles we have written, but we have neither the expertise nor the time to answer your specific questions about your vehicle.

We are all on the mail list and we also monitor the newsgroup. If you ask a question there and we know the answer (and it hasn't been answered correctly by someone else) we will reply in those forums.

I installed a TRD cold air intake and Borla exhaust on my '07 FJ. It seemed to be running rich and gas mileage had not improved so I took it to my Toyota dealer. I was told that my FJ was breathing better and that was causing it to run rich. I was told there was no fix but to remove the cold air intake and return to stock. The TRD cold air intake is in the Toyota parts catalog and "promises" increased power and fuel economy. How do I achieve the "promised" increase in power and fuel economy??

My 20R pickup sounds like a diesel when I first start it up. The Oil idoit light also turns on, and then arfter a few seconds, it turns off and everything sounds fine. What should I do, is this an oil problem, or a vacum problem, Please help.
