Suzuki Samurai - Aftermarket Parts

Source: Suzuki/Geo at Off-Road.com
Please note: This is NOT a catalog. We do NOT sell parts.

Aftermarket Samurai parts for “early 1988” and 1986-1987 model years, provided as an aid in locating what you need. Parts noted as "Original from Suzuki" reference the manufacturer's part number stamped on the part, not the official Suzuki stock number for the part.

Note that Samurais were the same in the 1986, 1987 and "early 1988" model years. There were slight changes in the 1988½ model and further (usually minor) changes after that. The majority of Samurais share nearly all parts. Parts verified applicable to multiple model years are listed in the "Early 1988" listing.

Thanks to Paul R. Hoffman for some of the info here, as pertains to 86-87 model years (see below) and also to Larry Robertson, of Dayco, for belt and hose numbers.

No prices here, but a note on how well they worked (or didn't). Anyone wishing to contribute more aftermarket Suzuki parts info please e-mail ScottGomez.

Pick one, these are pretty much all the same (except the K&N), and likely work on almost all years. I only listed them for the 88 because that's all I know they fit.

Thanks to Jeremy Collins for the part number. BTW, my local Suzuki dealer informed me the “official” Suzuki one costs around $200!! The Bosch was under $25.

1986-1987

All of the parts listed below are for a 1986 Samurai, but most would probably work with just about any year. I do quite a bit of four-wheeling and have over 150K miles on the car, so some of the items may be rather rare to have to replace (like the kingpin bearings, for example) I keep a printout of most of the following info sealed in a bag under my hood, for reference during breakdowns far from home where parts places probably don't know how to spell “Suzuki.”
