My
name is Anand Shah, and this is my 1977 FJ40. I purchased it in April of
1997 after shopping for over a year and dreaming for many more. This
cruiser has a Chevy 350 with a Holley carb, Hooker headers, five 33x12.50s on 15"
aluminiums, a custom interior with great seats, poly bushings, a fully padded
cage, ranchos and a new Bestop. In the near future, I plan to remove
the very little rust that it has, Rhino-Line under the interior carpet, get a
paint job and winch. Once I graduate from college and start making some
money, I hope to add lockers and OME suspension. Gimme a holler if you are
ever in Houston, Texas. Here
is my sweet honey "Bessy",in the San Rafael Swell,Utah-USA I have done some
improvements to to my stock 1988 FJ 62 Landcrusier. To start off with, I added
the "best" lift, an Old Man Emu full suspension kit. This lift kit rasied my
crusier about 4 inches and improved the ride. After the lift I added larger
tires (Bridgestone Dueler A/T 31x10.5). Next I added a full roof rack with
aluminum storage locker. The engine is still stock except for the K&N air
filter, but I have big plans for the future. --Jeremy Herridge Hello,
My name is William Arnold and I live in the southern California area. My cruiser
is a 1972 with to much to list, from the 4-wheel disk brakes to the 400+ hp
stroked small block chevy. I started the project in 1993 by removing the body
and started working on the frame and drive train. It's alot of fun to drive and
handles like a sports car. I have gotten around 14-mpg on the freeway with the
Howell 4-bbl fuel injection system w/ GM computer keeping averything in tune,
and with posi units at both ends, it goes almost anywhere. Happy Land Cruisen. Hello,
here is photo of my 1985 FJ60 Landy in Block Island, Rhode Island. I am
originally from Venezuela, where Land Cruisers are the choice vehicle. I live in
the U.S.A now and it was only natural for me to go and find a used Landy. She is
my everyday vehicle as well as my surf expedition vehicle. The mechanicals are
running strong, future plans are fixing the rust that is starting to creep up
and maybe giving her a brand new paint job. --Rafael Attias My
name is Adrian Vera, I'm from Venezuela, but I'm living in Colorado right now.
Here is my 86 FJ60 U.S model, build it to meet the exigency of Venezuelan jungle
four wheeling. The picture is in Pritchett Canyon, Moab UT. This
is "La pesadilla del Samuray", my 1984 Long Chasis Toyota Land Cruiser heading
south to "La Gran Sabana, Venezuela, one of the most beautiful places on earth.
The rack on top was used to carry an aluminum boat on my fishing trips to lake "Guri"
and more often held kayacs and Mountain bikes. In twelve years ownership I
shared great experiences with it. I sold it (God Forgive me) to a friend who
continues to use it on touring expeditions to the jungle regions of Venezuela.
Now I live in Miami, Fl (the flattest land on earth) and long for the good days
on my Cruiser. What should I get here?...a RAV-4? --Pedro Ramos It

BJ40 taken last january in Grandola. I?ve purchased it one year ago and
recently the rust was completly removed and he was repainted. The motor has

180.000 Km off-road. --Joao Branco My
name is Warren Fox (TLCA #4247), and in February 1997 I purchased a 1976 FJ40.
The Cruiser has a Ford 302 and 33s put in by the preceding owner. Being a
Southern California USA vehicle, it has no rust and the original paint is in
good shape. The interior is stock except for sagging aftermarket seats. My first
project is a complete OME suspension, followed by power steering. I use the
Cruiser for romping in the local deserts and mountains. I wish I had this back
when I went on the Pinyon Mountain trip. --Warren Fox Here
is my Toyota BJ 70 1986, with I crossed Libyan desert in December 1996, it's
wonderful. --martines My
current FJ40 is a 1976. It also has a Chevy 350, with a 350 automatic and an
NP203 transfer case. I am currently disassembling it, for a complete rebuild. It
looked good, but was full of rust and missing almost everything "cruiser". The
former owner did a real hack job on this, a real shame. Oh well, check back for
further resto updates. --Marc Sahr My
TLC is a 1973 FJ55. It was bought brand new in Carson City, NV by our next door
neighbor who was an FBI agent. It was used to chase Drug dealers etc... I
bought it in 1992. Work completed and modification accomplished since then are:
Complete rebuild of F motor, 3sp tranny, t-case, rear axle, front axle, most of
the switches. An EZ-locker in the rear, saginaw ps, custom grant steering wheel,

have a 73' FJ40 that I've owned now for 15 years. Other than the Chevy 305 mill
and the VW park lamps it is all original with a 3 speed transmission. I have had
it on the road for the past 14 years. Goes to work almost everyday! Have no idea
how some owners on this page would ever consider SELLING such a reliable
vehicle. This beast is the toughest slab of metal/rubber/glass out there
(excluding Freightliner etc.) I would love to hear from any other East Coast
Canadian's who are of like mind and anyone out there who has a deal on parts.
Toyota has all the parts but guys how do you charge people such prices for 24
year old parts in dusty dirty little plastic bags??? --Michael R. Cook
Ripples,N.B. This

Clifton Williams of Fremont California, and I'm sending you this photo of my
1994 Toyota Land Cruiser. The truck is stock. It has the Michelin LTX M/S 275/70
R16 tires. I got the truck here in the States, but I brought all of the
accessories back with me from Japan. Everyone loves my bumper gaurd. It's the
