Can anyone catch Kyle LeDuc in Pro 4? LeDuc has notched nine wins in 10 races so far in 2014.

The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series returned to action this past weekend in Southern California for Rounds 9 and 10 of the 15-race championship season. Glen Helen played host to the short-course off-road series, which kicked off race racing Friday and Saturday evening just as the sun was going down under the lights of the raceway.

In the Pro 2 truck class, Brian Deegan continued his podium streak this season by notching a victory at Round 9 and a third-place finish at Round 10. In Pro 4, Kyle LeDuc continued his dominance in the class by taking another weekend sweep in the class, with LeDuc now winning every race this season in the class but one.

Bryce Menzies leads the Pro 2 pack in front of the Glen Helen grandstands. Menzies earned the Pro 2 win at Saturday night’s Round 10 race.

In the ultra-competitive Pro Lite class, RJ Anderson earned the win at Round 9 and finished second at Round 10 to stay in the championship points hunt. Anderson finished just behind Brandon Arthur at the second race of the weekend, with Arthur earning the win in what is his first podium of the season.

RJ Anderson put himself atop the podium with a win at Round 9. Although he didn’t get the victory at Round 10, he finished just behind winner Brandon Arthur to stay in the chase for the class title.

In the Pro Buggy class, Chad George’s consistency will keep him out in front of the points race, as he went home with both a second-place finish at Round 10 and a third at Round 9. Eric Fitch has finished on podiums in the class prior to this weekend (earning a second and third), but he finally notched his first class victory of the year with a win at Saturday evening’s Round 10. The following night at Round 9, Garrett George took the win.

Brian Deegan earned the win at Round 9 in Pro 2, which he followed up with a third-place finish at Round 10. Deegan has a solid lead in the Pro 2 points heading into the final five races of the regular season.

It took him 10 rounds, but Brandon Arthur made his first podium at Glen Helen. Arthur made the podium visit count, as he took the win over RJ Anderson and the rest of the stacked field.

LOORRS racing will return again later in August at the Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada, for Rounds 11 and 12 from August 22-23. For more information on the series, visit LucasOilOffRoad.com.

Carl Renezeder gets in the zone before the start of one of his four races over the weekend. Renezeder, who calls Southern California home, finished the weekend with two second-place finishes split between Pro 2 and Pro 4.

The pro’s pro Rob MacCachren had a solid opening to the weekend, finishing second in Pro 4 and third in Pro 2 at Round 9, though he did not make a podium at Round 10.
