JOHNSON VALLEY FUN RIDE HUGE SUCCESS

The ride was held at Cougar Buttes in the Johnson Valley OHV Area. An estimated 3000 plus people attended the event. The fantastic turnout was a testament to how important this area is to the entire OHV community.

New York targets motorcycle sound

Motorcyclists caught without an EPA-stamped exhaust system would face fines of up to $1,000 for a first offense and temporary forfeiture of the motorcycle until the fine is paid. A second offense would result in a fine of up to $2,500 and permanent forfeiture of the motorcycle.

Save Johnson Valley Fun Ride

There is a dual purpose to this year's event. The first is to increase awareness about the proposed expansion of the Twentynine Palms Marine Base, and the second, is to raise funds for the AMA D37 Legal Defense Fund. The key is to get people involved in the process through education and letter writing while at the same time having fun. We will have various loops for all types of riders and disciplines. Everyone in the OHV community is invited.

Yamaha Awards $15,000 Grant to ORBA

The funding will be used to purchase equipment that will enable ORBA to expand its efforts on behalf of its members and the OHV community as a whole.

Rendell Announces $44 Million for Recreation, Conservation Projects

Funding for the grants comes from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Keystone Fund, which is generated from a portion of the realty transfer tax, Growing Greener I and II, and the ATV/Snowmobile Fund.

MotoVentures Barona Oaks Rider Training Center features large and dedicated training areas complete with giant old California Oak trees providing shade and plenty of appropriate challenges for beginners through intermediates. Barona also features two motocross tracks, riding areas with rocks, logs and other challenging obstacles for trials riders, and it also features plenty of fun dirt roads and trails too

More than 50 off-road enthusiasts and members of the Georgia Bounty Runners 4WD club were in attendance as BFGoodrich Tires presented a grant to the club?s president. The grant will be used to preserve the scenic trails and continue conservation efforts for one of America?s picture-perfect areas for off-roading.
