2012 Off-Road Expo Highlights

Oct. 06, 2012 By Josh Burns

The Off-Road Expo kicked off today at the Pomona Fairplex. The gathering of all things off-road brought out something for the Jeep crowd, the truck crowd, racers, rock-crawlers, campers and Overland off-roaders, UTV and powersports enthusiasts and more.

Robby Woods and Travis Coyne (shown) put on a demonstration of what the trucks in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series can do.

Off-Road Expo featured a variety of vendors and activities for fans, such as Lucas Oil Off-Road demonstration, a Toyota Ride and Drive area, Yamaha ATV and UTV demonstration track, freestyle motocross, a collection of off-road vehicles and Baja racing memorabilia at SCOREville, autograph signings and more.

Dynatrac’s booth featured the Jeep J-12 concept vehicle introduced earlier this year at the Easter Jeep Safari.

There were a few pretty big announcements made at the show as well, including a drawing for the starting positions for the 45th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, the 2013 Ultra4 schedule, as well as BFGoodrich’s opening of its Outstanding Trails nomination period.

Dirt Theater showed fans off-road racing action during the Off-Road Expo.

Free stickers are great. Getting them from a pretty girl is even better.

Not all the cool autographs signings were with racers, as is evident in the Method Wheels booth.
