As December arrives I find myself wondering what Santa will be bringing my way. Something my parents taught me long ago was that if you want something you need to start by asking. So I figure its time to sit down and write a letter to the man himself with my wish list for this Christmas. I'll simply post it here because everyone knows that Santa is a snowmobiler (how could he not be when he lives in the North Pole) and of course he has Web access.

Dear Santa,

How are things up North? Reindeer giving you any problems? Hope this letter finds you and yours in good health. I realize that this is a busy time for you and the elves, but I'd like just a minute or two of your time to tell you what I'd like for Christmas.

1 - $1,000,000... sure, I know that is a lot of money, but it really isn't for me, its for the Blue Ribbon Coalition. You see, they really are trying to protect our sport of snowmobiling and a million dollars would really make them a force to be reckoned with.

2 - A Yamaha 440 racer... I bet you get this one requested a lot. You see, there are a lot of Yamaha riders out there that are really getting tired of trying to answer the question "Why doesn't Yamaha have a 440 racer"?

3 - A Polaris 800 triple RMK... that new 800XCR motor looks to be a very impressive piece of hardware. Some of the Western guys really do love the sound of big triples and if that new motor was in an RMK chassis it would really make them happy. If you can't swing the 800 triple I'm sure there would be more than a few that would be happy with an 800 twin.

4 - A new 700 Cat twin... that ZR and PS chassis is a very nice design with eye catching looks and the performance to back it up. Could you see about getting a new, state-of-the-art 700 twin put in it?

5 - Speaking of 700 twins... how about an update to the 670 Rotax. Make no mistake, I love that motor, but it seems to be pretty much maxed out in performance. The aftermarket guys aren't able to get much more out of it. That new 600 twin from Ski Doo sure looks good, maybe a little more piston for it would work?

6 - More snowmobile related items on the Net... I really would like to see more OEM and aftermarket companies with a good Net presence. You know, I try and influence all those I do business with by asking them if they have a web site and if not when they will be getting one. Maybe you could help push them along.

7 - Big snow for the snow belt... You may not have trouble with snow in the North Pole, but last year was pitiful for a lot of areas in the mid-west. There have been a lot of very good boys and girls in those areas that deserve a nice long riding season this year.

Thanks Santa, I know its kind of a long list and some of the items are pretty tough, but please do all you can get them to me. And, if you need anything from me please don't hesitate to ask. I've seen some pretty impressive tracks for the sled and if a little more RP (reindeer power) is what you need I know some pretty good tuners.
