So, you want to buy a CJ? I wish I?d had a nickel for every time I?ve replied to those words over the last decade. I?d be rich. There?s something about a Jeep CJ5, or CJ7, that appeals to a man. I love driving it down the street on a nice summer day with the top off and seeing the smiles of those looking from sidewalks and other vehicles. A Jeep is unique and its history is unique.

My first ride in a Jeep was in the early 1950?s. It was a ?Seep?, an amphibious Jeep. Since that ride I?ve loved Jeeps. They are unique to Americans who know their history. So, you want to buy a CJ? Me too, I?ve wanted to find and restore a 1948 CJ2A. They?re simple, rugged and just plain too darned cool for words. IMHO flattie is the way to go! So, this book quickly became very interesting to me.
