Designed,
tested and evolved over two years by the QuickSilver design team,
these new systems both improve on the look and sound of the factory
exhaust - With its impressive sound profile and wonderful looks the
?Supersports? system delivered an impressive extra 17bhp during
dyno-testing.
With
this increase in performance you might expect a proportional rise in
decibels. Fine on short trips but very tiring on those long motorway
journeys at cruising speeds - With the ?Sports? system QuickSilver
has cleverly eliminated this problem. Compared to the original system,
at up to 2000rpm there is a louder, deeper note to the exhaust. At
4000rpm (motorway cruising speed) it is actually quieter. Push on to
6000rpm and it emits an equal number of decibels.
Attention
to detail has always been a hallmark of QuickSilver products and this
is no exception. Using Type 304 austenitic stainless steel, the
pipes are mandrel bent to keep a constant internal diameter throughout
the length ensuring an even flow of exit gases. All systems have a
polished transverse rear muffler/silencer that replaces the OE and
provides a much tidier view of the lower rear of this vehicle.
The tail pipes too are beautifully mirror polished.

Silencers
There
are 2 Silencers: 'Sports' and 'SuperSports'.
'Sports' ?
Quiet Depth - We have improved the internal to provide better throttle
response, a pleasant increase in volume at lower revs, at higher revs
(from 2800 rpm up it produces the same volume as OE) and better
efficiency (+12bhp) - Most drivers will enjoy this for regular
high-mileage use.
'SuperSports' ?
Crisp Roar - Has even better flow, less weight from the rear of the
car (approx. 8kgs), even better efficiency (+17bhp) and a
wonderful sound with more volume throughout the revs. We have
worked to produce a distinctive smooth exhaust sound that that
enhances the enjoyment of this luxury car.
