Once
again, Christmas is but a few pay checks away, and you're beginning to
feel the Santa Claus crunch, wondering what you're going to stuff
beneath the tree for yourself come December 25. Not to worry, the 2002
Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show is but a few days
away.
All
this month, Off-Road.com will bring it to you. Loaded with photos of
the hottest new products from the hottest new companies, the SEMA show
is action-packed when it comes to turning your dream machine into
reality and putting it on the road or in the dirt.
Last
year, the SEMA Show reached a record number of exhibitors at 1,368.
This year is much of the same record-breaking tradition for the SEMA
Show. Officials are expecting well over 1,500 different exhibitors to
deck the hauls of the Las Vegas Convention Center. It'll be
remarkable, exhibiting its first-ever off-road section for us off-roaders.
ORC is all over it. We'll catch up with some of our friends in the
off-road racing world, such as ORC's own Scott Steinberger and his
Ford Trophy Truck. Damen and Casey Jefferies will also be on hand,
displaying their 2001 championship Trick Truck at the enormous
BFGoodrich booth. If you remember, last year, BFG unveiled its
dynamite Krawler TA that swept through the 2002 rock crawling season
with victory after victory, finally concluding the season at the world
famous SUPERCRAWL last month in Farmington, New Mexico.
What's
better about the 2002 SEMA Show? This year, the show will be broken up
into categories, making it easier to effectively power through the
isles in search of the best automotive accessories on earth. We'll
have a member of our staff on each of the hottest spots, seeking out
the best of the best. Here's a look at what we've got ahead of us:
