I dropped by my local dealer 15 minutes before closing, got a test drive and
when I told him exactly what my "perfect" configuration would be, he asked
if I'd like to take a look at it as he had one (fully "loaded" Emerald) in
the storage garage. I negotiated some dealer options (mannik brush guard,
trailer hitch, lojack theft recovery, etc.) and I picked it up the next
Saturday because I didn't want to try to get it on a weekday Your
experience wouldn't happen to have been Ewing Autohaus, would it? I hear
they're the largest MB dealer in the US now. My only "trouble" with them
was the pressure over the ratings report MB sends out. I still feel like
they bent over backwards to make me happy pre-sale. We'll see how that
translates post-sale.

Marc
2700+ miles and very happy

Not to make you feel bad, but stories like this make me happy I got out of
Massachusetts many years ago. My wife and I droped into an MB dealer in
Dallas one
Saturday afternoon in June just "looking around." We test drove a truck and
I drove
out the following Monday night in my ML-3230.
