I have had my ml in off road situations that most owners would not
dream of and yes the Generals are awful in mud and barely adequate in
grvel/dirt. However even though better tires would be a big help the Mls
biggest shortcoming off road is do to the poor ground cleaence and
limited wheel travel. However it is more than capable for 99% of the off
road challenges it wil recieve. I completed the skyline loop out of
Silverton Co. without body damage and most reasonable people won't try
that in lesser vehicles than a CJ.
