>Maybe you have alll figured that this helps but I thought I'd repeat it again. If you direct ALL of you vents to the roof, pull out the rear cargo cover, turn on the A/C to recirculation (on the dial only...not the button. This causes the fan to blow stronger, shortening your wait), turn up the fan speed to 3 or 4, then just wait two minutes. That's it! You will be surprised how well this works. Because of the intense heat when I first get into the truck I immediately roll down the front two windows, set the A/C controls, then after folding up the windshield sun visor I roll up the windows and I'm ready to go ! Nice and cool regardless of outside temp!< Hope this is useful. ________________________________________ Andrew Jones Phoenix Technologies LTD. 714-790-2181 fax:714-790-2001 Andrew_Jones@Phoenix.com www.Phoenix.com ---------- Original Text ---------- From: The Nun <thenun@email.msn.com>, on 8/19/98 7:46 PM: Could anyone tell me if cold air comes out of the rear floor vents that are located in the back passenger floor board. If so, does the cold air blow out the rear floor vents the same temperature as the air on the dash vents and can you regulate the flow of air that blows out of the rear floor vents by the dial that is located on the dash. In other words, the first setting on the dash board would blow a little air, and the highest setting would blow the highest amount of air out the rear floor vents. If enough air comes out the rear floor vents, maybe a small plastic insert(like a WetVac Vaccum Attachment) could be placed on the vent to redirect the air in an upwards motion to help cool the back occupants or cool the truck. Went to Dallas to play golf in a Suburban that had 230,000 miles. When we finished playing it was 101 degrees outside and who knows how hot it was inside the truck but with the seperate rear controls for the rear passengers that blow from the top downwards it didn't take but a few minutes before the whole truck was cooled down.
