Sorry,
There was part of your question I didn't answer. Yes the air coming out of the rear vents is at the same temp as the front. Regulation of the air is done with the dial on the dashboard. Instead of trying to redirect air to the rear I have found it much more efficient to have all of the air come out the dash vents and angle them all up toward the roof. This truck cools off twice as fast this way. Sounds strange I know but give it a try.
It would be a great idea if someone could come up with a plug or better yet a cap that can redirect air to cover the rear vents. Currently the rear vents shoot air under the rear seats and it ends up in the carco area first. Actually, agreat idea if you have the rear seats installed.

Could anyone tell me if cold air comes out of the rear floor vents that are
located in the back passenger floor board. If so, does the cold air blow
out the rear floor vents the same temperature as the air on the dash vents
and can you regulate the flow of air that blows out of the rear floor vents
by the dial that is located on the dash. In other words, the first setting
on the dash board would blow a little air, and the highest setting would
blow the highest amount of air out the rear floor vents. If enough air comes
out the rear floor vents, maybe a small plastic insert(like a WetVac Vaccum
Attachment) could be placed on the vent to redirect the air in an upwards
motion to help cool the back occupants or cool the truck.
Went to Dallas to play golf in a Suburban that had 230,000 miles. When we
finished playing it was 101 degrees outside and who knows how hot it was
inside the truck but with the seperate rear controls for the rear passengers
that blow from the top downwards it didn't take but a few minutes before the
whole truck was cooled down.
Thanks,
Rick
