There are adapters available (although I don't know where to get one!). My cell phone lighter adapter came with a plastic adapter ring that fits in larger outlets so that the adapter fits snugly and doesn't come loose. Don't immediately assume that if something doesn't work exactly the way you want or expect that it must be of low quality. Jumping to this conclusion as a knee jerk reaction just decreases your enjoyment of the vehicle and (surprise!) just may indicate that you don't know as much as you think you know!
