It was a busy day at SEMA. This show is
really getting overwhelming with so much going on. We did not make it
around to see as much as we would have liked to, but there were several
products that immediately stood out.
Tuff Country has teamed up with
the engineers at JD Fabrication and will be selling this long
travel Suspension System for the 2004-2006 Ford F150 2wd and 4wd.
This suspension system is said to work simply incredible and gives
the F150 13.5 inches of wheel travel. Billet aluminum upper arms,
boxed 4130 chrome moly lower arms, stainless tie rod extenders,
custom shock towers, limiting straps, and coilover shocks. Bolt on
37" tires and some fiberglass fenders and you are ready to
play.
Just down the hall we found this new long
travel rsuspension system for the 2001-2005 Chevy 2500HD. Fabtech
has designed this new coil over suspension system that gives the
HD 13 inches of travel. NO MORE torsion bars. The 4" Dirt
Logic shock with remote reservoir is used. You even get a Dirt
Logic hydrualic bump stop. Out back a new spring hanger system is
used with soft ride springs. Your carrying capacity will be
reduced but you can always add some air bags to solve that
problem.
To continue the long travel theme we spotted
this Nissan Titan built by Spencer Low Racing. The suspension
found on this truck will be offered as a long travel bolt on kit.
Hanneman Fiberglass is used to cover the tires.
Toyota had the new 2007 FJ Cruiser on hand.
The Cruiser is said to be very off-road capable and has been
tested on trails such as the famous Rubicon Trail in Northern
California. Cruiser fans should check out today's photo gallery
for some classic Cruisers from the past. Toyota says you should
see the Cruiser start showing up on lots in March.
2005 Girls of
SEMA coming on Friday ....
