'Following are images and discriptions covering a very small
amount of Off-Road activities in Hawaii.
Here is a shot of me and my trusty DR-350 at the Waialee
Motorcycle Park on the Northshore of Oahu. In the background is the
famed Turtle Bay Hilton Resort and the road to Kahuku and Kaneohe.

There are many trails on Oahu that should have signs that say "Pay
attention or you will die!" or "Don't take your bike down here unless it
can be started on the side of a steep, rutted, slick hill and/or you can
carry it out on your back." Yes, Oahu and, Kauai are both very technical
areas as off-road trails go. I once made a mistake of following a trials
rider friend down into an area neither of use could easily escape from.
It took three hours to get his trials bike out. We came back with Rod
Stone's Hughes 500 Helicopter for the DR. The DR is just too heavy
for the trails here. So.... It's time for a new bike..
I have ordered a Husaberg 600EL. The 'berg is the finest off-road
4-stroke available. It's light (40lb lighter than the 'ol DR), ultra
powerful, handles superbly and has an "electric leg". Hmm, to bad there
aren't any XR-628's to chew on on the rock..
