Each month we will feature a Club or Clubs of the
month. We will attempt to feature one Motorcycle or ATV club and one
Four Wheel Drive club or Association each month.
We encourage ALL OHV
enthusiasts to join a club or association in their area. Not only will
you make lifelong friendships but it is important we join together to
support our sport for the future.
JUNE
2005 OHV Club of the Month
It's that time of the year.
The leaves are changing color. The snow is starting to fall on the
mountains. The winter chill is in the air. I know it says June 2005 up
there. But, I'm talking about down there. Down-under, mate. As in New
Zealand! Did I have you going? Didn't think so.
The New
Zealand Four Wheel Drive Association definitely covers an area that
encompasses truly beautiful outdoor scenery. All who have seen the
movies of the Lord of the Rings know what New Zealand has to offer. All
three movies were filmed there.
The New Zealand Four Wheel
Drive Association offers competitions, safaris, and more for the OHV
enthusiast. They have a little of everything for everyone.
The clubs who are members
of the Association offer the local events. Looks like they all cover the
various types of terrain that New Zealand has to offer. I wouldn't mind
going on some trips with them!
The New Zealand Four Wheel
Association is very active in land issues in their country. It is
definitely a problem world-wide. The Association is even a member of
United Four Wheel Drive Association of the US and Tread Lightly! NZ.
