Each month we will feature a Club or Clubs of the month. We will attempt to feature one Motorcycle or ATV club and one Four Wheel Drive club or Association each month.

We encourage ALL OHV enthusiasts to join a club or association in their area. Not only will you make lifelong friendships but it is important we join together to support our sport for the future.

OCTOBER OHV Club of the Month

Can anyone actually believe was has happened on the Gulf Coast? WOW!!! Unbelievable! Just when we think the worst is over, some of the same areas get slammed again! My heart goes out to all y'all!

For this month, we slide over to an area that was spared a direct hit by Rita. The Southern High Rollers, out of Houston, are great bunch of people. I 'wheeled with them when I was with the New Mexico 4-Wheelers and the Southwest Four Wheel Drive Association.

The Southern High Rollers are members of the Southwest Four Wheel Drive Association (SWFWDA), United Four Wheel Drive Association (UFWDA), TREADLightly! and the Blue Ribbon Coalition. These organizations play a key roll in keeping public lands open to the public.

Let's talk about having some fun! The Southern High Rollers know all about that!!! On their website, check out the link to the "Backpages." I don't care who you are. That there's funny!

So if you are ever down in the Houston area and want to a little 'wheelin, Texas-style, be sure to look up members of the Southern High Rollers. I'm sure they will be more than happy to show you some of their favorite spots!
