Public Land Use Issues mailing list

ORC STAFF
Welcome to the Public Land Use Issues mailing list. Its purpose is for discussion of Public Land Use Issues.

This Land Use Network was officially started in March of 1995, just after the Calif. Desert Protection Act locked up the southern CA desert. We began as the *Friends of Death Valley.* Immediately thereafter, land use advocates from all over the US began to join in, and soon, our topics expanded to a wide range of issues from all over the states.

On Dec. 13, 1996, ORC made us official by sponsoring us on Off-Road.com.

Our subjects: land use; public land access; multiple use; and road closures/wilderness issues.

Our philosophy: *Dedicated to:

  1. Repsonsible multiple use of our lands and natural resources;
  2. Non-use of appropriate areas;
  3. Educating our politicians and our fellow users; and
  4. Conservation of our resources and opportunities to enjoy them.
To subscribe to the list in real-time mode send mail to: majordomo@Off-Road.com with "subscribe landuse" in the body of the message.

To unsubscribe simply substitute "unsubscribe" in place of "subscribe" in the above commands. DO NOT send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to the whole list - they will be ignored, and will only make you look silly.

To post send to landuse@Off-road.com. Once you're subscribed send a brief message to the list introducing yourself. Welcome!
