PRP Racing Seats - Extreme Conditions Call For Extreme Comfort

High-quality performance seats are often overlooked by off-roaders when building their rigs. Mechanical modifications such as axles, lockers, tires and other obviously important additions are often times the first thing Jeepers spend their big bucks on.

SECURITY: Securing the contents of your Jeep begins with you. With a PRP seat, that security tranforms into phenominal support and comfort that can't be matched on the trail. If you've never sat in a PRP, you'll never know the true security of a custom racing seat.

But when the stakes become higher, the rocks become bigger, the terrain utterly rougher, many people tend to rely too much on the inferior back support from their rig's stock seats. If you look inside an off-road race truck or a competition rock crawler, you'll see that there isn't a stock seat in sight. That's because a stock seats are more like a quick prescription to the chiropractor than support and comfort you may think they are, especially after a full day of commandeering extreme trails.

"The Butt You Save Could Be Yours!"

The bottom line is that a few bucks on a set of PRP (Premier Racing Products) seats now can save a lot of pain and a couple of triple digit chiropractor bills later. For me, 12 years of abuse in the stock seats of my 1990 YJ was just too much to bear, and it was getting worse. The OEM seats were ripped, battered and ultimately became a war-torn remnant of the good times they'd been through. The support they provided was nearing a dismal state; especially in off-camber crawling conditions and bone jarring drop offs.

Here's where the PRP Racing seats excel. After installing them in my YJ and running them on the Hammers in Johnson Valley, the purpose of the seat became clear. They are suspension for your backside.

The seat is designed to securely cradle your back and butt, evenly providing comfort and support throughout the entire contact patch. This results in a ride and feel - even through the rough stuff - that you'd never find in your stock seats. PRP seats provide lateral support for you body that is tough to beat. And among all the aftermarket seats PRP Racing seats, with their suspension technology, are the best bang for your buck, being substantially less expensive than the competition.

They are light weight, easy to install, and extremely reliable. They also look and fit very well within the Jeep.

When ordering from Aaron, PRP's owner, there were a number of simple questions we had to answer in choosing the absolute perfect seat for our purpose. Color and the material of the seats are the first things you'll want to consider. Then, you'll want to get into the option of seat height, width, and length, allowing PRP Racing to manufacture seats that are specific to you and your passenger's body dimensions.

What if you have a child or infant crawling the rocks with you? Well, PRP Racing even crafts seats for them. I'd say buying them a custom seat would be inexpensive insurance for their growing bodies. It's the route I'd take if I had a kid tagging along in my rig.

After ordering the seats, the seats were ready within two weeks. Since I live about two hours away from PRP, I made the trek down to the shop to educate myself in the type of quality that goes into a PRP.

The fabric and color we chose is very easy to keep clean. In addition, one of the material contributes to keeping you snug in your seat.

And after a quick inspection of the seat's manufacturing, it was clear the quality we were dealing with here. A lot of seat manufacturers make use of underside stitching, running the stitches into slits cut into the material in order to wrap it around the tube frame of the seat. Now PRP Racing uses this same method, but to a much greater science. Instead of cutting slits simply cutting slits into the material, PRP uses metal grommets. What does this mean? Well, the PRP metal grommets aren't prone to rips and tears at the seams as the competitors might be.

In closing, I just can't say enough good things about the performance of my PRP Racing seats and the prompt, informative and genuine service I received from them. I was glad I went with a set of PRP seats and must honestly say that am less fatigued at the end of a long day of 'wheeling than with the inferior stock seats. The comfort and support of the PRP Racing seats are paramount to anything I've ever sat in.

Because extreme conditions call for extreme comfort and support.
