FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

WK Cherokee
West Monroe, LA: Superlift expands its comprehensive line of lift systems and related accessories for Jeeps with a new 4" kit for the 2005-06 Grand Cherokee and 2006 Commander. Designed in cooperation with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), this new system maintains the latest-generation Jeep vehicles' superior on-road ride while enhancing its off-road prowess. Fortunately, the brand-new 2006 XK Commander shares the same suspension / chassis setup with the 2005-06 WK Grand Cherokee, and 4WD and 2WD platforms are basically identical; Superlift and AEV created a single system (the 2WD version deletes the front diff relocation hardware) that works for both off-road and pavement-pounder models. This kit will clear 33" to 34" x 12.50" tires on 8.5" wheels with 5.5" backspacing.
4" 4x4 System

Superlift's cutting-edge Frame Integrated Technology (F.I.T.) approach combines replacement ductile-iron steering knuckles with a stout bellypan / crossmember assembly. The system's knuckles and beefy front brackets relocate the differential and lower control arms to maintain factory geometry: CV axles, steering geometry, and wheel alignment stay within spec. Front driveline angle is also taken into account, so the factory front driveshaft can be retained. Underneath, Superlift contours the kit's interlocking crossmembers, full-width bellypan and drop brackets, using countersunk fasteners for maximum ground clearance and to ensure that the fasteners stay tight for the Jeep's service life. This incredibly strong subframe improves overall stabilityof the unibody XK / WK chassis.

Factory ride quality is maintained in the front by towers that relocate the stock coilover shocks: Thin preload plates install on top of the coilover springs to boost spring rate slightly and offset the increased load / leverage generated by wider tires and wheels. Extended factory-style anti-sway bar links, both front and rear, ensure proper bar preload.

To "de-sponge" the rear ride, Superlift uses longer coil springs that have a slightly heavier rate than stock. The kit's relocation brackets correct 4-link geometry. Also, customers can choose between two grades of rear shocks, both of which are valved specifically for the XK / WK: standard Superlift Superide hydraulics or premium Superide SSR remote-reservoir shocks (trick-looking, high-pressure monotube units).

In addition to shock choice, customers can also add an optional eXtreme Ring rear diff-cover protector. All Superlift components are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Superlift offers the lift system through its worldwide dealer network, while AEV offers the lift installed on its new "trail ready" Grand Cherokee and Commander conversions (visit www.aev-conversions.com for details).
