Coverage: The 48th Annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah

Apr. 12, 2014 By Josh Burns

There are a number of well-known off-road gatherings around the country throughout the year, but it’s hard to argue that any are larger in scope than the Easter Jeep Safari. The EJS has occurred in some way, shape or form in the small town of Moab in Southeastern Utah for almost 50 years – 48, to be exact. Known for its beautiful red rock landscape, with Arches National Park just on the outskirts of town, Moab boasts world-class trails that draw in off-road enthusiasts year-round.

The Easter Jeep Safari brings literally thousands of enthusiasts together with the off-road aftermarket for trail rides, parties, a tradeshow late in the week, and it even draws in heavy-hitters from Detroit, as Chrysler gets in on the action at EJS every year. Jeep typically will launch new product during the week of Easter Jeep Safari, and for a number of years both Jeep and Mopar have partnered to produce concept Jeeps each year that are introduced to the public for the first time in Moab – and that the off-road media get the chance to drive!

There’s plenty occurring in Moab this coming week, so if you can’t get out to experience the event for yourself, be sure to check back with Off-Road.com for all the happenings during the 48th Annual Easter Jeep Safari.
