The Binder Bunch is one of
the oldest Scout clubs in the United States. The club caters primarily
to hard core off-roaders who love and appreciate the Scout for its trail
capabilities. This is probably NOT the best club for IH and Scout
collectors and restorers. The club offers information on parts, events,
land use politics, technical data, performance modifications, engine
swaps, lifts, lockers, etc. The Binder Bunch makes 1-2 trail trips per
month in Colorado, and at least one major out-state trip per year to a
destination such as Moab, UT , Las Cruses, NM and the Rubicon/Sierra
Trek in California.

While
we're basically a bunch interested in IHC equipment, if it was made by
IH, you're liable to see it at a show. I've seen tractors,
combines, refrigerators, cream separators, Scouts and M-1 rifles.

We are a social club, which was formed in 1989 for people who own and/or
have an interest in preserving International Harvester vehicles. We have
grown from a handful of people to over 300 members.
Our club is a nice mix of bone stock, street/trail, dune runners and
extreme rock buggies. If you are interested on hitting some trails with
other IH fans this is the club to join. We also have an "Adopt a Trail",
through the California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs (CA4WD).
Scouts West is the sponsor of "Scout Tour of Death Valley". A guided
tour through Death Valley every other year. We are also a co-sponsor of
the largest gathering of I.H. vehicles on the West Coast. The
"International Harvester Western Regionals" (IHWR) is held each April in
Tulare, CA.
Formed in 1989, the
Northwest Binders began as a small group of
International Harvester owners meeting to share knowledge,
experiences, and information about their vehicles. Today, our club
includes well over 80 members, owning a variety of IH vehicles, both
2- and 4-wheel drive. We hold weekly meetings, publish a quarterly
newsletter, and plan at least one club event.
