FIGHT BACK!

ORC STAFF

The above pictures show a BLM Ranger throwing two people off public land. Just in case you have never had the experience, here's what it looks like. Take a real good look because this is the reality of land closure. Notice there are no trucks, buggies, mountain bikes, or horses involved. Just two people committing the ungodly act of "sitting" on the ground in Laughlin, Nevada. The pictures are real. I was there. I took them.

Can you see the powerlines in the background? Can you see the top of a large building? Are you aware that because of the OHV community's reluctance to get involved in the fight to keep our lands open and free for "public use" this continues happening at an increasing rate? If land is being closed so close to populated areas, what exactly do you think is happening in more remote areas?

Now, take a few moments to read "The Gate People", by Off-Road.com's Andi Vogt. This article is a "must read" for anyone upset over the closure of our public lands. It spells out, in plain and simple language, the utter insanity of the situation.

What have YOU done lately to stop the Environmental Fascists from pressuring our government into these illegal land grabs? What have YOU done to make our government obey its own laws and stop them from enacting new ones that strip us of our rights?

If we keep spinning our wheels by playing fair, compromising, and hoping that something will get accomplished, we're doomed to failure. (This is exactly what these groups want to see us to do.) We might as well try selling our OHV's and buying lowriders... Wait a sec? They want them banned too...

What we need to do is adopt the very same tactics that the present day "environmental movement" has been using for years to shut us out of "public land" and strip us of our rights. We need to take it to court. Let's start suing those whose names appear on the closure orders.

How about buying a few billboards like this on a city freeway?

Do you think that this would get the attention of the public at large? Think they'd start asking questions about why? Think that the mass media would ask a few questions of their own?

Sure that costs money. A lot of it. Any solution to our problem will.

It is our intent to drag these people into court and give them a taste of their own medicine. It is our intent to sue them over these illegal closures where they will have to justify their illegal actions in a court of law. It is also our intent, to publicly expose these groups for what they are and the reality of what they represent.

Does this approach interest you? Don't you think it's about time that something like this happened? So do we. Now all we have to do is pay for it.

We're working with other outdoor sports organizations, disabled veteran's organizations, handicapped groups, and more, to help bring about a legal end to this madness. Think about each of these people contributing a few minutes of their time to stick a dollar in an envelope, and mail it. You quickly end up with several MILLION dollars in a war chest to file the legal actions necessary to put an end to the destruction of our rights as Americans to Public Lands..

The world can see us as "indifferent", or it can see us as
"committed". The choice is yours, and it's mine.

We're doing it because we love our sport and are sick of having our rights walked on by the selfish, greedy factions of the environmental movement, and the politicians that serve their every whim.

You can even write the donation off on your taxes!

Remember, we're not talking about mortgaging a house, redlining a credit card, or going door to door begging for money. All we ask is that you send in a buck. If you want to send more, that's up to you. If you want to hit up a couple of your wheeling, hunting or fishing buds, that's up to you, but it is encouraged and appreciated.

The bottom line here is this. The time for gum flapping is over. The time to do something is now. The way to win this war is in the court system. Now, before you do anything else, while the thought is fresh in your mind, get up, get an envelope, address it, put a stamp on it, stuff a dollar into it, and mail it. Lets get this insanity out of the way, and our butts back on the trails, where they belong!

That wasn't too difficult, was it?
