Who said, "Girls can't have fun?" Jenni Wilson of North Carolina sent in her 1997 Dodge Ram. She says, "This picture was takin' in North Carolina. Everything about my truck is stock. It has a factory lift on it. I just wanted to let you guys know that even us women can have fun in the mud, even if we are stock." DesertBull says: Hey Boyz, if this JeniLee flying through the mud in North Carolina doesn't get you out to some dirt, mud or sand, then you should sell your truck and buy a new remote control for your T.V. Jenny is blazing a trail through this local mud hole, looking to challenge some of the East Coast boyz. Thanks for your contribution Jenny!

Roadkill Phill says: I have a group of friends
and we all have either Dodge Ram Chargers or Plymouth Trail Duster.
We love them. Can you tell me a little more about you?! Would you
like a few pictures? We are all about stock. A few little drive
train swaps with 3/4 ton stuff and a little lift. But my Plymouth
with over 160,000 is smoking and still chasseing Jeeps and home
built stuff all over the California country side. Hope to hear from
you soon. Thank You. Desertbull says: Bring it on...we are all about Dodge, Dodge and more Dodge. If you take it in the dirt, send us your photos. Nothing better then 10 Ramchargers blazing a trail in the California country side. Dreamcollectables says: I purchased a 1979 Ram Charger with a 360 rebuilt engine. I need a soft top for this model truck. Can you help me find one? Desertbull says: Check out a company called, "Can-back." You can visit there website at www.can-back.com for additional information.
Dang H. Nguyen
asked:
I've been reading Desert Bull's
adventures. I REALLY like what he's done to his truck. I own a 1998
Ram 1500 Quad Cab with the 5.9L V8. Desertbull says: During the last few months, I've been on the road constantly. The summer season is full of off-road desert races, trips back and forth to Baja, Mexico and of course we just returned from a 2800-mile jaunt from Southern California to La Paz, Baja, Mexico and back. It was hot, humid and miserable weather. The brakes performed flawlessly, especially heading South down the steep grade into Santa Rosalia, Baja Sur California. It's a beast of a hill, something like 13% for miles and miles. Hot-hot weather and still no problems. A conservative estimate is over 10,000 miles since installation in early June 2002. More then 75% percent of those miles were towing some type of trailer loaded with off-road cars, quads-atv's, motorcycles, etc...And I must report, nothing but accolades to our friend, "Glenn" at EGR Severe Service Brakes in Corona, California.
Robb Copeland asked:
I have a 2002 4x4 ram 1500. What are the best
tires that will go on 17 or 18 inch rims with out lifting it too
much so it will ruin the drive train. I would also like to know if
there is a cat-back system for the 2002's yet. Desertbull says: The best tires on the market, in my humble opinion, are none other than BFGoodrich tires. Put a set of the new mud terrains and take to the dirt. The lifting of the vehicle doesn't so much wear out the drivetrain as the height of the tire changes the ratio you're running based upon the extreme size of tire you go with. Go with a Mud Terrain, not too, too big, but just right and rock on. Many cat-back systems on the market, just pick and choose what's best for you after surfing the Web. David Schrader asked: Bull, I drive a 2002, Ram 2500 pickup truck as a company truck. When it had 500 miles on it, the computer went out and it set in the dealers shop for 2 1/2 weeks, waiting on parts. I bugged them often about it and then, suddenly a replacement computer, that was suppost to be "New and improved" showed up, they put it on and I got the truck back. At 20,000 miles the automatic transmission leaked a big puddle in my driveway and they replaced the torque convertor and pump. Now the truck has 33,000 miles on it. Now the check engine light is on most of the time, until I take it in to get it reset. When I punch the throttle from a stop it revs up to 5300 RPM and the rev limiter shuts it off and on, off and on till I let up on the pedel, or it won't shift into 2nd. The service manager at the dealership says it is normal and nothing to fix. Is there something wrong or is this normal? David Schrader Desertbull says: Ummmmmm, sounds like a serious sour lemon. I'm going to answer your question, "Is there something wrong or is this normal?" by saying, "There is something seriously wrong with that computer." Unfortunately, the dealers-also referred to by some readers as the stealers, will not give you the straight scoop. One dealer that is by the book, is McPeek Dodge in Anaheim, California. Contact their Fleet Manager-Kevin Buzzard and he can get you going in the right direction. McPeek Dodge of Anaheim kicks butt. Check out this customized old Power Wagon!
Jon said: Here are some photos of my friend Bob's Power Wagon. It has been in his family since it was retired from the army after WW2. We customized the interior to make it a little nicer for camping but it still has the military feel. The military steel wheels have been widened 3" to accommodate the super swamper boggers. Thanks Desertbull says: Wow....what a beautiful vehicle. Again, thanks for sharing with us.
