Off-Road Experience I've been 4-wheeling off and on for about 15 years now. It all started back in 1985, on a tiny piece of coral in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, called Guam...... A friend was interested in getting a Toyota FWD, so we took one out for a test drive. During the test drive, we got the bright idea of testing it's four-wheelin' capabilities and nearly drove off a 100 foot cliff!! Well, we survived and my friend bought the truck, so I decided to buy myself a new Toyota (without the optional test drive, of course!)

Well, as I told you last month, the Project Jeep took a tremendous beating down in Baja while we covered the Baja 2000.

This month's feature vehicle made an impression on me while attending the "Goodyear Rock Crawling Championship Series" in Cedar City, Utah, back on Memorial Day weekend. You can't help but notice this one

For the Rock Crawler enthusiast, Farmington, NM was the place to be on September 8th and 9th. The Goodyear Extreme Rock Crawling Championship Series, in conjunction with ARCA, The American Rock Crawlers Association, held their fifth and final event of the season in the wildly popular ChokeCherry Canyon.

You ever notice the first thing offroaders do when they get offroad for that day-long trail run? The first thing they do is "air down" - they drop their tire pressure to somewhere around 12 psi. for maximum traction on the trail.
