Plunk wins big with 1100 horsepower 565 ci Mud
Machine |
The Big Nasty~Griffins
Run, Louisana - Donny Plunk came to the CRMC Championships with one
thing on his mind this beautiful Sunday afternoon here in Eastern
Louisana and that was to win and win big! Competing in the Super
Modified Division allowing an unlimited power plant, Plunk fitted
his GMC with 1100 horsepower custom built motor.
Mashing the pedal all day long throughout
qualifying rounds, Plunk was unstoppable. Described by some as the
Robby Gordon of professional mud racing, Plunk roared his 1100
horsepower GMC truck through the thickest and deepest mud gumbo in
Louisana to win the Super Modified Division. Where many other
competitors fell to the deepest mud pit at The Big Nasty, Plunk
raged straight through the deepest and baddest gumbo at Griffin's
Run without a problem to take home the win.
Plunk and his tradition of championship
mud racing will be hard to beat for a very long time. The Plunk
family has been involved in mud racing for over 30 years and close
friends with the entire Skyjacker crew. |

action. Rock On Motorsports/Off-Road.com's Brittany Sanchez flew
co-pilot in the chopper over the event as the horsepower of hard

– Here on the banks of Bayou D'arbonne the horsepower is
revving up as the Southern Boys shift into high gear and bring the
horsepower into the deep mud here at The Big Nasty. Skyjacker
President/CEO Lonnie McCurry Sr. is co-driving in the Skyjacker
sponsored 800 horsepower mud racing truck named Mo-Hunch-Er. The
red and white Skyjacker truck roars like a lion breathing fire and
spitting race gas. Owned and driven by long time friend, Richard
Richardson, Mo-Hunch-Er runs in the modified class and there is no
doubt this race truck has been built to win big here at the 2004
