Expanding upon the heritage which has made MasterCraft Seats synonymous with safety, CEO Robbie Pierce is pleased to announce the acquisition of Ryan Safety. Specializing in protective equipment for motorsport and stunt professionals, Ryan Safety is best known for its full-line of SFI-Rated Nomex fire suits, neck protection, and SFI 16.1 rated multi-point belts and harnesses.

The purchase of Ryan Safety will further build upon MasterCraft's already expansive line of safety products and will provide an even more comprehensive selection of protective equipment.  Additions to the product lineup will include helmet supports and skirts, knee pads, and an exclusive line of race suits specifically tailored towards desert and short-course off-road racing.

"Off-road racing presents unique challenges and situations where standard race suits do not necessarily fit the needs of the driver or co-rider,” Pierce said. “As a desert racer, I understand the necessity for a safe and durable suit which is custom designed for the off-road environment.

"The Nomex and Dale material blends provide fuel and water repellent properties, while the hidden pockets and optional clear outer pocket provide safe-keeping for personal items and necessary important documents when racing in remote locations such as Baja.  Tire changes and in-field repairs are a fact of life in off-road racing, and the MasterCraft line of suits offers a higher level of quality that can endure the harsh elements unique to this sport."

The MasterCraft line of race suits and protection products will integrate Larry Vilmer's nearly 15 years of experience in the racing safety equipment industry. As one of the original founding partners and general manager of Ryan Safety, Vilmer will continue on with MasterCraft and will be an integral resource for the design and development of existing and future safety products.

"The purchase of Ryan Safety was a natural step forward for MasterCraft Seats and is an exciting addition to our growing line of safety products,” Pierce said. “I look forward to working with Larry Vilmer and combining our experience to offer the most durable and highest quality protection equipment available."

Design and manufacturing operations for Ryan Safety have been relocated to the MasterCraft Seats headquarters in Santee, California, and the addition of Larry Vilmer to the staff has provided a seamless transition.

Customer inquiries and orders will be coordinated by the MasterCraft Seats sales team at the Santee, California, facility. The sales staff can be reached by calling 619/449-9455.
