New Line of Anodes Protect Yamaha Engines

Mar. 25, 2008 By Press Release
Yamaha owners looking for better, longer-lasting protection can upgrade with innovative Navalloy Sacrificial Anodes from Performance Metals. Specifically designed for preventing corrosion on Yamaha engines, the versatile Aluminum Yamaha Anode Line provides a higher protection voltage than zinc and lasts 30 to 50% longer.

The environmentally-friendly trim tab, block, transom and side mounted anodes are made from aluminum and indium alloy. Much lighter than zinc, they work in fresh, brackish and saltwater and reactive immediately on re-immersion.

Exclusive to Performance Metals, a patented wear indicator is embedded in every anode. When the anode has worn down to half its original size, a red spot appears, informing the boater it's time to change the anode.

The state-of-the-art anodes are available separately or in three convenient kits that include transom and trim tab anodes, stainless steel hardware, installation instructions and a handy, corrosion guide. They're ideal for 150-175 hp, 150-175 hp counter rotation and 200-250 hp, 4-stroke engines.

Performance Metals' Navalloy Aluminum Yamaha Anode Kits have suggested retail prices ranging from $33 to $36.
