2015 KTM SX Models Announced

Two-Strokes
Two-stroke fans can rejoice, as KTM’s two-stroke models continue to remain an important part of its motocross family. KTM continues to develop two-strokes with just as much enthusiasm as its four-stroke offerings to provide its customers with competitive machines that boast lightness, solid power and easy maintenance. At present, KTM is the only major manufacturer developing its two-stroke range each year, and it’s a trend we hope will continue.

2015 KTM 125 SX

The 125 SX is powered by a high-performance two-stroke engine with power valve and six-speed gearbox. The 125 SX remains a favorite among young champions. For 2015, a new ignition curve is used to improve performance and reduce the potential of detonation.

The KTM 150 SX still relies on the 125 SX chassis but features a larger displacement, making it a truly formidable competitor on the track, offering the agility of the 125 SX but providing added power and torque. Like the 125 SX, the 150 SX gets the new ignition curve to improve performance and reduce the chance of detonation.

KTM says that the 250 SX has one of the best power-to-weight ratios in the motocross world, and its lightweight two-stroke engine is quite competitive against more complex four-strokes. For 2015, the 250 SX receives a minor revision in the form of a clutch basket that has been reworked to shave weight.
