Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series Round 14

With the 2010 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series season nearing it’s conclusion with only one weekend of racing remaining, Round 14 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway played host to a number of battles that could determine the class champion. With Round 13 taking place the yesterday after just after the SEMA Show wrapped up in Vegas, the racers were hungry for those all-important class points toward the championship. Here are some highlights from Round 14 of the Lucas Oil series.

After a wild Pro 4 Unlimited race that saw a number of front-runners drop out with mechanical issues, Rick Huseman was able to sneak onto the podium in third place. With the finish, he earned enough points to wrap up the Pro 4 Championship before the end of the season.

Adrian Cenni survived the Pro 4 war of attrition to earn the victory. He chased down and caught Carl Renezeder, who had mechanical issues toward the end of the final lap and was unable to continue.  

Cameron Steele earned the victory in Pro Buggy followed by Menzies teammate Larry Job. “The Big Red Machine” had a good day indeed. 

Brian Deegan made a clean sweep in Pro Lite in Las Vegas, which is impressive considering he also made his debut in Pro 2 over the weekend.

Marty Hart was unable to get around Brian Deegan this weekend in Pro Lite, but he was able to take second both days and take the lead in the points battle.

 Jeremy Twitch Stenberg earned the win in a packed Super Lite field. There were 16 Super Lite trucks lined up at the start, which is the most ever for the class.

Rob MacCachren jumped out to an early lead in Pro 2 and was able to fend off Rockstar Energy teammate Brian Deegan in the beginning of the race. Later in the race, when Carl Renezeder made a run at MacCachren he was able to fend him off too.
