Rain caused delays in racing all weekend at Glen Helen. Only one race was held - and it wasn't until Sunday. Rob MacCachren (21) leads the pack en route to his Pro 2 win at the rescheduled Round 9.

Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, isn’t in an area typically known for dealing with weather delays in the summer months. Yet with a wild fire raging just miles away at the start of the weekend and eventually monsoon-like thunderstorms (at least by California standards), Lucas Oil was forced to postpone Round 9 racing until Sunday morning and delay Round 10 action entirely until it can be rescheduled.

Can anyone stop Kyle LeDuc this season in Pro 4? With eight wins out of nine races, it looks like he may very well defend his title.

After a daylong rainstorm that flooded some areas of the short-course at Glen Helen, track workers were able to get the course in order to hold Round 9 of the scheduled two-race weekend on Sunday morning. Defending Pro 4 Champion and current points leader Kyle LeDuc didn’t let the weather have any impact on his dominance in the class, as he rolled to his eighth win in nine races so far this season. Newcomer to the Pro 4 class, Brian Deegan, put together a solid run to secure his second podium finish in the class for 2015. Rounding out the top three is the consistent veteran Rob MacCachren, who appears to be the only person in the class at present who could potentially challenge LeDuc’s title defense.

RJ Anderson took the win in Pro Lite on Sunday.

Speaking of MacCachren, in Pro 2 the racer was able to pull out the victory at Round 9 to close the gap on Bryce Menzies, who was leading the points heading into the weekend. Carl Renezeder, who just missed the podium in Pro 4 with his fourth-place finish to MacCachren, finished in the runner-up spot, while Brian Deegan earned himself another podium on the weekend with his third-place finish.

RJ Anderson earned the victory in Pro Lite, as he beat out Brandon Arthur, who finished in second place, and Jerett Brooks, who finished in third. Brooks and Anderson now are neck and neck in a battle for the class championship, though there’s still plenty of racing left in the season.

Garrett George earned the victory in Pro Buggy at Glen Helen.

In Pro Buggy, Garrett George earned the victory on Sunday, holding off Mike Valentine who had to settle for second on the day. Chad George rounded out the podium in third.

The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series will reschedule Round 10’s race to a later date, noting that spectators who purchased tickets will be able to attend the rescheduled race when it is eventually announced. For more information, head over to http://www.lucasoiloffroad.com/.
