Jeremy McGrath Gets First Win in Lucas Oil Off-Road Race

With rain coming through on Friday during the afternoon, it was a great sign that Round 13 of the 2011 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series kicked off today with clear skies and sunshine. The nice weather provided a little extra positivity for many in attendance still mourning the loss of Jeff and Rick Huseman, who recently passed away in an airplane accident after returning from a motocross race in Las Vegas.

Since it is the first race since their passing, t-shirts, stickers, banners, and even customized paint jobs were found all over the racetrack at Las Vegas Motor Speedway honoring the Husemans. A video memorializing Jeff and Rick Huseman was shown to the crowd before the Pro 4 Unlimited class, the class in which Rick earned the 2010 Championship. Rick’s number 36 Monster Energy Toyota also led the Pro 4 class on its first warm-up lap prior to the race. It was a fitting tribute to a great racing family that will not be forgotten.
